Not only can the water of these variable types of coconuts keep you refreshed but as research now indicates, coconut water can also improve blood circulation, help reduce blood pressure and risks of strokes and heart attacks.

Important facts about coconuts

Due to its high nutritional factors Coconut, King Coconut and Kurumba waters are now marketed in bottles for ease of accessibility and convenience of use. However, there are a few important factors to consider before purchasing bottled coconut water.

Fresh coconut water is packed with nutrients and is more importantly naturally sterilized. Once it has been in contact with the warm open air it starts to ferment thus losing its nutritional value.
Bottled coconut water has been pasteurized in order to give it a longer shelf life. However, that also means that the natural enzymes the fresh water contains which helps to detoxify the body is no longer there. Drinking coconut water can also have a certain laxative effect on the system and it is not wise to overindulge. As in all good things, it is best in small doses.

The next time you are out travelling on a warm sunny tropical day, cast aside that carbohydrate drink and reach out instead for one of Nature’s best health drinks. Let it refresh and re-energize you.
